Know your PC and PC memory
Normally pc uses RAM for short term storage of programs, so in a way it can be described as pc memory. Basically memory is the most important part of a computer as it decides the extents of the pc. The more the memory, the more useful is your pc. Actually quality of a pc is described according to its memory. Though ram is an important part of pc memory but it is volatile, it does not store data permanently. To overcome it we have some other kinds of pc memory as ROM, PROM, EPROM and EEPROM etc. Generally three kinds of pc memory are considered; ddr, ddr2 and ddr3. These are all various generations of RAM; among the three ddr is the oldest. The things that strike your mind regarding your pc memory are its speed of data transfer, its thermal strength and most important is its price.
So while modifying the memory modules these things are considered so as to offer you the best deal without affecting your budget. As the latest pc memory i.e. ddr3 is not commercially available, you should opt for ddr2, it will offer high data rate of 800mega transfer per second and saves power due to 1.8V power intake. Also you can upgrade your pc memory using the option of expandable memory without replacing the whole setup. Also the recent DDR3 memory will further decrease your worries by increasing the quality and capacity of your pc memory.
