HDMI cables have been one of the recent technologies that promise a uniform mode of transmitting high detailed digital information between a wide host of gadgets that could range from LCD, plasma televisions, computer monitors and graphic cards, DVD and BluRay DVD players and more…
This might promise less confusion for consumers, however, we still have to make sure that this technology does have the good if the end user in mind. HDMI cables have been considered a revolution in this world of technology and entertainment. However, many a times, people won’t realize that this is nothing easily understood. It could also be something that is easily mis-interpreted as being better, or safer, or more reliable. Analog, although it can provide good amount of visuals and audio, can be easily ‘hacked’ into and the information transmitting through it can be easily copied and stored for illegal sale, or innocent personal use.
Acts like these could end in the legal owners of the content not having the amount of profit they would otherwise have. This may make it a fair deal to create new and more secure technology. The HDMI technology simply depends on digital signals rather than the analog signals. Most of what is said about HDMI is something that is true about the technology. However, the way it have been said, will mislead the user to thinking that this is first of a kind feature that only this technology has and the other traditional ones won’t. More awareness needs to be spread among consumers about HDMI cables.
